Karuizawa Ando Art Museum

Japan's first art museum exhibiting only works by Tsuguharu Fujita

An art museum that exclusively exhibits works by Tsuguharu Fujita (Leonard Fujita, 1886-1968), collected over many years by businessmen Yasushi and Megumi Ando. It has a collection of over 200 works, mainly paintings of cats, girls, and the Virgin and Child. Fujita took Paris by storm in the 1920s as a nude woman with "milky white skin." You can see his works from his early years to his later years, with exhibitions changing three times a year. In addition to his works, Fujita's handwritten notebooks and private photos are also on display. Concerts and events are held regularly in the in-house salon (85 seats). You can also rent it out, so please feel free to use it.
